Dr. David Altman

imageDr. David Altman is a magna cum laude / Phi Betta Kappa graduate of Brandeis University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992. In 1996, he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed a medical internship at Hartford Hospital in 1997 followed by a three year neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He became fellowship trained in clinical neurophysiology at Brown University in 2001, and joined the faculty of Baystate Medical Center / Tufts University as an assistant professor. In 2003, Dr. Altman partnered with the Neurology Center of San Antonio and also became the neurology director of Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital in 2005.

In 2006, he opened the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Warm Springs Hospital, which is affiliated with the Lone Star Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He has authored several articles and frequently lectures on various neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, neuropathic pain and stroke. Dr. Altman is married, with two daughters, and lives in San Antonio.
